The Anker Nebula Cosmos projector sends telemetry and feedback and runs content and ad services in the background. It also carries preloaded apps, and its stock home screen is heavy, using about 190 MB of memory. The list groups these and leaves the projector's own controls alone.
The storage on this model was about 90 percent full out of the box. The list keeps the projector hardware, inputs and remote working. Good to know on this model
- Netflix says it is not compatible in the Play Store, because this projector is not Netflix certified. A certified stick on HDMI is the way round it.
- The storage was nearly full from the factory.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will Netflix work after cleaning my Nebula Cosmos?
The Netflix TV app does not run on this projector, with or without TidyTV, because it is not Netflix certified. A certified stick on HDMI works.
Will the remote and keystone still work?
Yes. The projector and remote services are kept on purpose.
Can I get the old home screen back?
Yes. Restore everything turns the apps back on and puts the old home screen back in one tap.
