Debloat the BenQ GV32
Google TV 14 · 8 apps on the list · tested on a real set
The BenQ GV32 portable projector ships with telemetry, ads and partner services that install apps. It also has unused preloaded apps. The list is short, at 8 apps, and splits them into a first batch of tracking and ads and a second batch of apps that are your choice.
Projector features such as auto focus, auto keystone, zoom and eye protection run through a service that TidyTV keeps on. Turning off the setup wizard can give back the home screen but can break Chromecast built-in casting. TidyTV turns the rest off from your phone with a backup first. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything.
Apps TidyTV can turn off on the BenQ GV32

Batch 3: launcher handover. setupwraith's RecoveryActivity claims HOME behind launcherx and would take Home once launcherx is off. It owned the Wi-Fi saved at setup on this unit: forget the network and join it again in Settings first (owner becomes android.uid.system), or disabling it deletes the network.

- The factory test apps are kept and are never opened.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will auto focus and keystone still work on my BenQ GV32?
Yes. The services that run them are kept on purpose.
Does casting still work?
Yes by default. Only turning off the setup wizard can break Chromecast built-in casting, so leave that one on if you cast.
Can I get the old home screen back?
Yes. Restore everything turns the apps back on and puts the Google TV home screen back in one tap.
