Debloat the Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800
Android TV 14 · 9 apps on the list · tested on a real set
The Epson LS800 laser projector has an Android TV module with telemetry, ad and content services and preloaded apps. The list has 9 apps in three batches and keeps the Android side that runs the projector itself. It uses the classic Android TV home, not Google TV.
It was verified with screenshots on one unit. The projector's own controls, such as auto focus and keystone, picture modes and warning screens, stay on. TidyTV turns the rest off from your phone with a backup first and never deletes anything. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything.
Apps TidyTV can turn off on the Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800

What always stays on
- The projector control app, including auto focus and keystone
- The projector menu, picture modes and installation tools
- Lamp and temperature warnings
- The log collection app, which also owns the Information screen
- HDMI inputs and the sleep timer
- Firmware updates
Good to know on this model
- The log collection app stays on, because turning it off crashes Projector Settings when you open the Information screen. You can opt out of logs on that screen instead.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
