Debloat the Freebox Player POP

The Freebox Player POP from Free in France ships with telemetry and log collection, ads, recommendations and partner auto-installs. It also has factory leftovers, voice and casting apps, streaming apps and extra preloads. The list has 28 apps in groups, so you can keep the ones you watch.
Its home screen is Free's OQEE, which is also the live TV app, so a new home screen is installed first. The Player has no HDMI input, but the TV tuner and OQEE keep working. TidyTV turns the rest off over Wi-Fi with a backup first and deletes nothing. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything.

Good to know on this model
- Debugging opens on this box once USB debugging is on, and each computer is accepted on screen.
- Streaming apps and voice and casting are groups you pick. Comment out the ones you watch.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will I still be able to watch live TV on my Freebox Player POP?
Yes. OQEE and the DVB-T tuner are kept. The OQEE home screen is only turned off after a new home screen is installed.
Does casting still work?
The header does not say whether casting stays on. Voice and casting are an optional group, so keep that group on in the app if you cast.
Can I get the old home screen back?
Yes. Restore everything turns the apps back on and puts OQEE back in one tap.
