Debloat the INCLO Google TV 4K

Google TV 11 · 7 apps on the list · tested on a real set

This INCLO set is built by KTC and runs Google TV on Android 11. The list is short: ad and auto-install services, one telemetry service and a few maker and Google preloads. The stock Google TV home screen is also on the list, but it only goes once a replacement home screen is installed.

It was tested on one unit for one day, with HDMI game consoles, voice, casting and the gear button checked on the real remote, plus a restart. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything.

Grouped as the tested list groups them. In the app each one has a switch, so you choose. Apps marked your call are extras the list leaves on.

What always stays on

• All the Realtek TV and input parts
• The remote's firmware updater
• KTC factory parts that handle remote keys (never opened)
• Chromecast casting
• Voice search and the remote service

Good to know on this model

• After the stock home screen is switched off, the remote's Netflix and YouTube buttons do nothing.
• The setup helper owned the Wi-Fi network from first setup. Forget the network and rejoin it in Settings first, or the TV may drop off Wi-Fi.
• With the new home screen's key helper on, a held volume key moves one step per press.

How to do it

1. Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
2. Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
3. Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
