Debloat the Insignia F30 4K Fire TV
Fire OS 7 · 100 apps on the list · tested on a real set
The Insignia F30 runs Fire OS 7, which comes with a lot of Amazon telemetry. That includes viewing habit tracking, an advertising ID service and crash and metrics reporting. Sponsored ads, Amazon Shopping and home screen recommendations are included too, along with background sync services and a few kids and cloud apps.
Fire TV keeps Amazon's home screen, so the list only trims what sits around it. Live TV, the quick settings and the Picture, Sound and System pages stay on. TidyTV does this from your phone over Wi-Fi. It saves a backup first, turns apps off in Android's own settings and never uninstalls them. Restore everything switches them back on in one tap.
Fire TV: TidyTV turns the apps off but keeps Amazon's home screen, because Fire OS won't let another home screen take over.
Apps TidyTV can turn off on the Insignia F30 4K Fire TV
Grouped as the tested list groups them. In the app each one has a switch, so you choose. Apps marked your call are extras the list leaves on.

What always stays on
- Live TV, which handles the HDMI and tuner inputs.
- Quick settings and the Settings app, so Picture, Sound and System still open.
- AirPlay and HomeKit, if you use them.
- Amazon's own home screen. Fire OS does not let another home screen take over.
Good to know on this model
- On some Fire TVs, two telemetry apps are protected by Fire OS and cannot be turned off. If TidyTV reports them, that is why.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will the voice button still work on my Insignia F30?
Alexa is a personal choice in the list, so the voice button depends on that switch. Leave Alexa on in the app if you use voice.
Does casting still work?
Casting is a personal choice in the list, so it stays on unless you switch its app off. AirPlay and HomeKit are kept if you use them.
Can I get the old home screen back?
This TV's home screen was never replaced. Fire OS keeps Amazon's home screen, so there is nothing to put back. Restore everything still turns every app back on.
