Debloat the KTC 4K Smart TV
Google TV 14 · 8 apps on the list · tested on a real set
This white-label KTC set runs Google TV 14 and is sold in Taiwan. It ships with a viewing tracker that watches what is on screen, Google feedback and crash reporting, and a handful of factory and production-line test tools. It also has two small unused apps.
The Taiwan video apps it comes with (friDay, ChocoTV, LiTV, myVideo, Hami and iQIYI) are kept on purpose, because the owner uses them. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything. You can still switch any app on the list back on.

Good to know on this model
- This list is small on purpose. It only covers the viewing tracker, feedback telemetry, factory tools and two unused apps.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will the voice button still work on my KTC TV?
Yes. Google Assistant is kept, because the mic button and voice search stop working without it.
Will my Taiwan video apps still work?
Yes. They are not on the list.
Does it have a way back?
Yes. Restore everything in the app turns every app back on in one tap, and puts the old home screen back if you changed it.
