This Motorola set is built by Skyworth. It ships with Skyworth telemetry and activation services, Android ad and personalisation services, and Skyworth content and recommendations. The list also covers cleaners, manuals and other bundled apps nobody needs on a TV.
On this firmware the Google TV home screen and the setup wizard are only turned off after a new home screen is in place. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything.

- The Live TV app and the HDMI and tuner inputs
- The Google Play Store and Google services
- The stock Google TV home screen, until you choose a new one
Good to know on this model
- If you set up Wi-Fi during the first-run wizard, the TV may lose its saved network when the wizard is switched off. Forget the network and join it again in Settings first.
- The remote's Settings button needs a small helper service to work once the stock home screen is off.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will the remote's Settings button still work?
Only with the helper service on, once the stock home screen is off. TidyTV can turn it on for you.
Could I lose my Wi-Fi when the setup wizard is turned off?
Possibly, if the wizard owns your saved network. Forget the network and join it again in Settings before you start.
Can I get the old home screen back?
Yes. Restore everything turns every app back on and puts the old home screen back in one tap.
