Debloat the Polytron 2K Android TV
Android TV 11 · 21 apps on the list · tested on a real set
This Polytron set runs a Hisense and CVTE board with about 930 MB of memory. It ships with ads and silent installs, telemetry, and unused system services. A second home claimant, the Google setup helper, also takes the Home button.
The list was tested on a set. Live TV, the USB media player, the Play Store and Google Play services are kept. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything. The phone and TV need to be on the same Wi-Fi, and the TV asks you once to allow debugging.

Good to know on this model
- The TV hops between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks of a dual-band router and gets a new address each time. Reserve one address for it on your router.
- The tested set had these apps removed for the user. This list turns them off instead, with the same effect.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will Live TV and the USB player still work?
Yes. Both are kept on purpose.
Why does the TV keep changing address?
It hops between the two Wi-Fi bands of a dual-band router. Reserve one address for it on your router.
Can I get the old home screen back?
Yes. Restore everything turns every app back on and puts the old home screen back in one tap.
