The SANYO ATV R2 comes with an S-Channels content app and recommendation rows, an in-store promo app, SANYO and Realtek data-consent and feedback services, and preloaded weather, map, clock, radio and streaming apps. It also has a TV cleaner and a Wi-Fi hotspot feature that most owners never use.
The notes come from one real SANYO ATV R2. Chromecast, Google Assistant, FastCast screen mirroring, Audio Link and PureSound stay on, and the HDMI and AV inputs and Live TV are left alone. TidyTV turns these apps off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never uninstalls anything. Restore everything brings them back.

Good to know on this model
- SANYO's firmware update service and its companion service are turned off in this list. Turn them back on in the app to check for updates.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will the voice button still work?
Yes. Google Assistant is kept in use on this TV, so voice search keeps working.
Does casting still work?
Yes. Chromecast and FastCast screen mirroring are kept in use.
Will it stop the ads on the home screen?
It turns off the S-Channels content app, the E-SHOW promo app, and the recommendation and partner rows on the home screen. The home screen layout itself only changes if you choose a clean home screen in the app.
