This 2024 TCL Google TV ships with Samba TV viewing tracking, TCL analytics and a log uploader. It also has TCL Live channels, promo rows, a message box and a movie browser, plus retail demo and hotel mode apps, an e-manual, the Alexa app, a cleaner app, and casting and mirroring services that are off by choice.

This was applied and checked on a real 75-inch unit on 20 October 2026. Wi-Fi, HDMI switching through the Inputs menu, Assistant, and Netflix and Disney+ playback all worked afterwards. TidyTV turns these items off from your phone over Wi-Fi. It saves a backup first, switches each app off without deleting it, and stops if anything looks wrong.

What always stays on

Live TV and HDMI, through TCL's TV app and input service.
The remote's microphone button, through the remote service that carries its voice search.
The Input button panel, which is TCL's source panel.
The on-screen keyboard.
Firmware updates, delivered through Google Play services.
Wi-Fi setup services, and the sound service that also works with TCL speakers.

Good to know on this model

The remote's Input button always opens TCL's own source panel, and it cannot be redirected to another menu.
Firmware updates come through Google Play services, so there is no separate TCL updater on this set.

How to do it

Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.

Questions

Will the voice button still work on my TCL 75C755?

Yes. The remote service that carries the microphone button is kept on, and Google Assistant worked in testing.

Does casting still work?

Chromecast is off by choice in this list, and AirPlay and Miracast are off too. Restore everything turns them back on in one tap.

Will it stop the ads on the home screen?

It turns off the TCL channel app, the promo and message services, and the TCL partner rows on the home screen. Restore everything turns them back on in one tap.
