The Xiaomi MiTV-ASTP1 China-market set comes with Xiaomi usage tracking, push messages and cloud control services, shopping channel and promo content, a TV cleaner, Mi Music, a screen recorder and a smart home panel. Most owners will not use any of these.
The notes come from one China-market set running Android 9. Its Chinese streaming apps stay on, including Tencent Video, Youku, Mango TV and bilibili, and so do casting and the app store. Only the CCTV NewTV app is turned off among the streaming apps. TidyTV turns the listed apps off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never uninstalls anything.

Good to know on this model
- Network debugging closes at every restart on this set. After a power cycle, switch it on again in Settings before the phone app can reach the TV.
- Firmware updates are turned off in this list. Turn the update service back on in the app to check for an update.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Does casting still work?
Yes. Xiaomi smart share, MiPlay and the Wi-Fi display receiver are kept on purpose.
Will my streaming apps still work?
Yes. Tencent Video, Youku, Mango TV and bilibili are kept. Only CCTV NewTV is turned off, because it is not used.
Will it stop the ads on the home screen?
It turns off the ad and promo content: a shopping channel plugin, a promo reel, a video daily feed and a web promo view. The home screen's own rows are not on this list.
