The Xiaomi MiTV-MOOR2 runs Google TV on Android 11. It ships with Xiaomi telemetry, including Firebase analytics, and an ad row on the home screen that uses the advertising ID. Mi content rows, Mi TV+ ad-funded channels and a retail demo loop are included too, along with a TV manager cleaner and a few preloaded apps.

All 22 packages on the list were disabled on the TV and checked there, with a replacement home screen owning Home. Nothing crashed during the session, and nothing had to be turned back on. That was a first-day check, not days of use. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, with a backup first and nothing uninstalled.

Do not apply this section on a fresh run, or the Home button has nowhere to go. Disabling the stock launcher is not enough on this firmware: com.google.android.tungsten.setupwraith also answers HOME - .MainActivity at intent-filter priority 4 and .RecoveryActivity at priority 1 - and an ordinary app cannot outrank it, because Android ignores android:priority on HOME filters for non-system apps and `cmd package set-home-activity` reports Success without taking effect (not even across a reboot). Disabling the setupwraith PACKAGE is what frees the slot; `pm disable-user` on its individual components is refused with a SecurityException. See the README troubleshooting section. Trade-off: setupwraith is the first-run setup wizard. Everyday use is unaffected, but re-enable it before a factory reset - tools/restore.sh does that for you while this line is in the list.

Live TV and HDMI switching, which the Live TV app runs.
The remote, Bluetooth and phone-remote pairing.
The Netflix key on the remote, which a Xiaomi service handles.
The core TV and input services that run the remote and HDMI inputs.

Good to know on this model

Turn the setup app back on before a factory reset, since the list turns it off.

How to do it

Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.

Questions

Will it stop the ads on the home screen?

Yes for the ad row. The list turns off the ad row, Mi TV+ ad-funded channels, Mi content rows and the promo web view on the home screen.

Does casting still work?

Yes. Chromecast still works without Mi Cast and Miracast, which are the apps the list turns off.

Can I get the old home screen back?

Yes. Restore everything turns every app back on and puts the old home screen back in one tap.
