This OnePlus TV is a classic Android TV 10 set sold in India. It ships with telemetry and diagnostics, OnePlus content and recommendation rows, auto-installs, and preloaded extras. The list also covers casting, mirroring and streaming apps, which are switched off by choice, so you can keep any of them.

It was checked with a restart, and nothing came back on. HDMI, Live TV, the Input key, the Netflix key and the Assistant mic all kept working. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything.

Good to know on this model

Factory apps are left alone and never opened.
Debugging keeps its Wi-Fi port open across restarts until you switch it off, so turn debugging off when you are done.

How to do it

Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.

Questions

Will the voice button still work?

Yes. Google Assistant is kept.

Will firmware updates still arrive?

Yes. The OnePlus update services are kept on purpose.

Does it have a way back?

Yes. Restore everything in the app turns every app back on in one tap, and puts the old home screen back if you changed it.
