The Panasonic 4KTV-JUP comes with Google feedback and setup leftovers, recommendation rows, an ambient screensaver service, background backup and print services, Panasonic help, demo and hotel mode apps, and several streaming apps. Most of these do nothing for someone who just wants to watch TV.
This list was tested on one TV. The home screen, HDMI and AV switching and Live TV were checked with screenshots after the change, and nothing broke. It had under a day of real use, so turn back on anything you miss. TidyTV turns these apps off from your phone over Wi-Fi with a backup first, and never uninstalls anything.

What always stays on
- Live TV, which the Inputs menu opens
- HDMI and AV inputs, which run on the MediaTek input stack
- All MediaTek services that run the tuner, the inputs and HDMI
- The Play Store and Play Services, which TidyTV always keeps
Good to know on this model
- The TV has three apps that can take the Home button, so setting a new home screen needs one extra step.
- The Google setup wizard is turned off in this list. Turn it back on before a factory reset.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will it stop the ads on the home screen?
It turns off the recommendation service and the partner customizer that add content rows to the home screen. This list does not change anything beyond those services.
Can I get the old home screen back?
Yes. Restore everything turns every app back on and puts the old home screen back, in one tap.
Will HDMI and Live TV still work?
Yes on the test TV. HDMI and AV switching and Live TV were checked after the list was applied.
