This Panasonic is built by Skyworth and ships with shop-demo apps and setup leftovers, a Google background data service, and a MediaTek picture-quality test tool that starts at boot. It also has recommendation rows, a partner setup that feeds the home screen, and preloaded apps you may not use, such as Play Movies, Play Games, Prime Video and Google Assistant.
The list was applied in four batches on one TV, with a screenshot and remote-key checks after each batch. Home, Live TV, the input panel and HDMI detection all worked afterwards. The list had about a day of real use when it was written up. TidyTV turns these items off from your phone over Wi-Fi, makes a backup first and deletes nothing.

What always stays on
- Live TV and the input panel, through the MediaTek Live TV app.
- The tuner, input and HDMI stack, which is all MediaTek packages and is never switched off.
- Remote-key checks of Home, Live TV, the input panel and HDMI detection, which passed after the change.
Good to know on this model
- The TV starts on the last source, such as Live TV or an HDMI port. The firmware has no setting to change this.
- HDMI devices appear as their own inputs, so the input list can show a name like 'HDMI 1 PlayStation 5'.
- The stock home screen keeps a Play Movies tile after the Play Movies app is off, because the tile is a built-in shortcut.
- With about 0.9 GB of RAM, background apps such as Netflix can be closed quickly when memory runs low.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
