The Philips 55PUS7503 is a 2018 model on Android TV 8. It ships with a store demo app, Philips usage logging, and a NetTV recommendation row called Top Picks. It also has Google's recommendation engines and first-run tutorials, which add rows to the home screen.

The list was checked on a real TV. The replacement home screen, Netflix, HDMI 1 to 4, component video and Live TV all worked, and the turned-off apps stayed off across standby and overnight use. The notes call it a draft that still needs a longer test. TidyTV turns these apps off from a phone on the same Wi-Fi, after saving a backup. Nothing is uninstalled.

Good to know on this model

Two analytics services stay on here: Philips' candeebug and gel. They are left on until they have been tested on this older software.
If the ADB authorisation prompt does not appear, restart the TV fully, not standby. Then go back to the Android home screen and connect again.

How to do it

Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
