Debloat the Philips 55OLED708

Google TV 12 · 30 apps on the list · tested on a real set

This Philips OLED runs Google TV and ships with a Samba TV viewing tracker, TP Vision telemetry, Philips and Google promos, a retail demo and first-setup leftovers. The list also covers Philips features this owner does not use and preinstalled apps in the user app area.

It was applied in small batches, with a screenshot and a 30 second idle-log check after each. No retry loop appeared. Home, HDMI 2 with a PS5, Live TV, Settings and YouTube kept working. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything.

Apps TidyTV can turn off on the Philips 55OLED708

Google TV setup wizard 1

Its RecoveryActivity claims Home at priority 1 and takes over once the stock launcher is gone. The Wi-Fi network joined during first setup belonged to it: forget and re-join the network in Settings FIRST (it then belongs to com.android.tv.settings), or the TV drops off Wi-Fi. Networks it still owns are forgotten when it is disabled. Re-enable it before a factory reset.
