Debloat the Thomson 32HE5800

This Spanish Thomson set is built by TCL and ships with TCL's analytics service and partner app auto-installs. It also has Google recommendation rows on the home screen, a TCL app store and TCL account pages, and a TV Guard cleaner with its own installer. The list also covers unused Google apps for music, movies and games, and the USB media players.
This list was applied and checked on a real unit on 19 October 2026. Wi-Fi stayed up, the clean home screen was installed, and the Home button and the Inputs menu worked after the full list. Live TV, HDMI and the remote services are kept on purpose. TidyTV turns the rest off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything.

Good to know on this model
- The Orange TV app that comes preloaded in Spain is not on this list, so it stays installed.
- Google Play Music is on the list because Google has discontinued that service.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will the voice button still work on my Thomson 32HE5800?
Not with the default list. Google Assistant, voice search and the hotword service are in the off-by-choice part of the list. Turn them back on in the app if you use voice.
Does casting still work?
Yes. Chromecast built-in is kept on purpose.
Will it stop the ads on the home screen?
Mostly. It turns off the Google recommendation rows and the TCL app store. The preloaded Orange TV app is not on the list, so it stays.
