This Hisense set, sold in Latin America and Brazil, ships with a viewing tracker that uses content recognition to see what is on screen. It also has VIDAA free channels and a VIDAA content tab, a photo and camera app, a hotel and retail demo mode, a Brazilian broadcast software stack called Ginga, and an Alexa assistant named HiAlexa.

This list was checked on a set running Google TV 12. The services on its keep list were checked as ones the TV needs, so Live TV, the HDMI and tuner inputs, remote keys and casting stay working. TidyTV turns the rest off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first, never uninstalls anything, and undoes everything in one tap.

Launcher phase only 1

Google TV's setup wizard also claims android.intent.category.HOME (priority 1, RecoveryActivity), so it takes Home the moment the stock launcher is disabled and a third-party launcher can never own the Home button. Leave this line out if you are only debloating. On some sets the wizard holds the Wi-Fi credentials saved during setup; if the TV forgets its network, re-enter it with the remote. restore.sh re-enables it.

Good to know on this model

Do not switch off the Hisense smart and AIoT services. On a related Hisense set, switching them off sent the TV into Android Recovery at startup. If you see a message that the system cannot load, choose Try again, never Factory data reset.
Google's setup wizard claims the Home button once the stock home screen is switched off, so a replacement home screen cannot take over until the wizard is switched off too.
The setup wizard can hold Wi-Fi details saved during first setup. If the TV forgets its network after a change, join it again with the remote.

How to do it

Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.

Questions

Will the voice button still work on my Hisense U75?

The list does not turn off Google's voice assistant. It turns off HiAlexa, the Alexa assistant, which is off by choice.

Does casting still work?

Yes. The network service that casting and the phone remote use is kept on purpose.

Will it stop the ads on the home screen?

Partly. It turns off the VIDAA free channels and the VIDAA content tab feed, plus the Google TV auto-install and partner tracking services.
