This Skyworth set runs Google TV on Android 14. It ships with Skyworth and Coocaa factory test and store demo apps, telemetry, ads and recommendation rows, and Google feedback. The list also covers the Google TV setup wizard and a few preloaded apps this owner opted out of.

The list keeps what the TV needs: remote keys, backlight, Bluetooth remote pairing and the Live TV services. TidyTV turns the rest off from your phone, saves a backup first and never deletes anything. The phone and TV need to be on the same Wi-Fi, and the TV asks you once to allow debugging.

RecoveryActivity claims Home with priority 1. Must be disabled to free Home and prevent crash loops on Google TV 14! Trade-off: disabling setupwraith gives Home back but costs casting (Chromecast built-in may stop working); re-enable it if you need casting.

Good to know on this model

Switch off the stock Google TV home screen only after a new home screen is in place.

How to do it

Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.

Will the voice button still work on my Skyworth?

Yes. Google Assistant is kept by choice.

Does casting still work?

Yes. Chromecast built in is kept.

Can I get the old home screen back?

Yes. Restore everything turns every app back on and puts the old home screen back in one tap.
