Debloat the TCL 55P7K
Google TV (Android 12) · 29 apps on the list · tested on a real set
This Middle East TCL runs Google TV on Android 12, and nothing was turned off at the factory. Samba TV, which tracks what is on screen, the TCL analytics logkit and the TCL service all ship switched on. It also has TCL content rows, Live FAST channels, push messages, hotel mode and retail demo apps, and preloads like OSN+ and iQIYI.
The list was lived with for a day and a reboot with a custom launcher, and nothing broke. TidyTV turns the apps off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything, so each one can be switched back on.
Apps TidyTV can turn off on the TCL 55P7K
Grouped as the tested list groups them. In the app each one has a switch, so you choose. Apps marked your call are extras the list leaves on.

What always stays on
- Live TV and HDMI (the TCL TV app)
- The Input picker, remote pairing and the system server
- The TV settings, which also run TCL's quick panels
- The TCL browser, because the remote's Web key opens it
Good to know on this model
- The remote sends Settings, Netflix, YouTube and Web as special key codes. Test any remap with the real remote.
- Turning off the stock home also means turning off the setup app, which claims Home otherwise.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
