Debloat the TCL 58S571F Fire TV

Fire OS 8 · 32 apps on the list · tested on a real set

This TCL Fire TV runs Fire OS 8 and ships with Shop on Fire TV, content recognition that sees what is on screen including HDMI, sponsored rows, autoplaying previews and an advertising ID. It also uploads Wi-Fi and performance metrics and device logs, and carries extras such as an operator app, Luna, News, Gallery and a system status monitor.

Fire TV keeps Amazon's home screen, so this is a clean-up only. The list was lived with for several reboots, and Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, Stremio, AirPlay from an iPhone and a Mac, and Settings all worked. TidyTV saves a backup first and never deletes anything.

Fire TV: TidyTV turns the apps off but keeps Amazon's home screen, because Fire OS won't let another home screen take over.

Apps TidyTV can turn off on the TCL 58S571F Fire TV
