Google TV 11 · 29 apps on the list · tested on a real set
This TCL runs Google TV on Android 11 and ships with TCL analytics, awareness and identifier services, and a TGuard app that tracks device use and health info. The Google TV home has TCL rows, pushed messages and promos, a TCL Home panel with a gift box, and retail demo stickers. Preloaded apps are also listed.
The list was tested on one unit over Ethernet. TidyTV turns the apps off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything, so each one can be switched back on. Chromecast and Miracast were kept.

Good to know on this model
- On this firmware the default keyboard points at an app that is not installed, so no keyboard appears in search fields. Set Gboard as the keyboard.
- The setup app owns saved Wi-Fi and claims Home. It was turned off over Ethernet, so do not turn it off over Wi-Fi.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will the voice button still work on my TCL 65Q550G?
Not with the default list. Google Assistant, the TCL voice service and Alexa are on it. Switch them back on in the app if you use voice.
Does casting still work?
Yes for Chromecast and Miracast, which are kept. AirPlay is on the list and is switched off.
Will it stop the ads on the home screen?
It turns off the TCL rows on the Google TV home, the pushed messages and promos and the TCL Home panel with the gift box.
