This Sony BRAVIA UR3 runs Android TV 10. It ships with tracking, ads and recommendation rows, a demo and shop mode, a voice assistant and a few preloaded apps that most owners never open. The list has 17 apps in total, grouped by what they do.
All of them stayed off after a restart on a real set. Chromecast stayed, and Sony's HDMI, tuner, Bravia Sync and remote services are left alone. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, saves a backup first and never deletes anything. It had not been lived with for weeks yet.

Good to know on this model
- The voice assistant entries are optional. Skip them to keep the mic button.
- If the home screen fails, the TV falls back to the Settings home screen, so you do not land on a black screen.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will the voice button still work on my Sony UR3?
Not with the default list, which switches off the voice assistant. Leave those three apps on to keep the mic button.
Will AirPlay still work?
Yes. AirPlay and HomeKit are kept.
Does it have a way back?
Yes. Restore everything in the app turns every app back on in one tap, and puts the old home screen back if you changed it.
