Debloat the Sony BRAVIA TL2

The Sony BRAVIA TL2 is built by TP Vision, the company behind some Philips sets, so it carries a similar TV layer. The list covers five apps that most owners skip, such as Prime Video and Disney+. It also turns off retail demo mode, partner auto-installs and a few Google leftovers.
The list was applied in two batches, with a screenshot and a Live TV and Chromecast check after each, then a restart. Home, Inputs, Live TV, Cast and voice all still worked, and everything stayed off after the restart. TidyTV turns these off from your phone over Wi-Fi, with a backup first. What always stays on
- Live TV, the tuner and HDMI inputs, which MediaTek services run.
- The TV's own system layer from TP Vision, which runs the remote and sources.
- Google Assistant, text-to-speech and the phone remote, so voice and phone control stay on.
- Chromecast, so casting keeps working.
- Firmware updates.
Good to know on this model
- ARD, ZDF and Google Play Movies were already off from the factory, and the list leaves them as they are.
How to do it
- Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
- Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
- Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.
Questions
Will the voice button still work on my Sony BRAVIA TL2?
Yes. Google Assistant and the text-to-speech service are kept on this set, so the mic button keeps working.
Does casting still work?
Yes. The Chromecast app is kept, so casting from a phone keeps working.
Can I get the old home screen back?
Yes. Restore everything turns every app back on and puts the old home screen back in one tap.
