This China-market Xiaomi TV, used in Vietnam, ships with telemetry, push and cloud-control, ads, promoted content and shopping, plus background services and unused preloaded apps. It also has casting, phone remote and voice assistant parts. Each app has its own switch in the app, so you decide which ones to turn off.

The list is based on a sister set minus what this build lacks. It was applied on a real set. TidyTV saves a backup first and never deletes anything, and the core Xiaomi TV service is left alone. It reconnects to relay01.c.assistant.tv.mi.com, which no longer resolves, about 19 times a second with no backoff: ~190% CPU in GC after every boot. The Bluetooth remote runs in com.android.bluetooth (BleRemoteService) and is not affected.

Gboard for Android TV 16.1.02 (com.google.android.inputmethod.latin, tv_release armeabi-v7a, minSdk 26; 17.x needs Android 10) is the only IME: ime enable/set .../com.android.inputmethod.latin.LatinIME. It logs missing Play Services but types fine. Re-enable Sogou before removing it, or the TV has no keyboard.

Good to know on this model

Network debugging closes on every reboot. Turn it back on under Account and Security after each power cycle.
Wi-Fi sleeps in standby, so the TV drops off the network until it is woken.

How to do it

Turn on developer options On the TV, open Settings › System › About and select the build number 7 times. Then turn on USB debugging, and Network debugging if you see it.
Tap your TV in TidyTV Your phone finds the TV on the Wi-Fi. Tick "Always allow" and press Allow when the TV asks.
Review, then tidy TidyTV saves a backup, shows these apps with switches, and turns off the ones you pick, checking each one.

Questions

Can I get the old home screen back on my Xiaomi L55M7-EA?

Yes. Restore everything in the app turns every app back on and puts the old home screen back in one tap. TidyTV only switches apps off, so nothing is ever deleted.

Why can't my phone find the TV after a restart?

Network debugging closes on every reboot, so turn it back on in Settings, Account and Security, ADB debugging. Wi-Fi also sleeps in standby.

Does TidyTV delete anything on my Xiaomi L55M7-EA?
